    Certified Performance Improvement Facilitator Orientation

    The Certified Performance Improvement Facilitator™ (CPIF) recognizes professionals with demonstrated proficiency in guiding complex, collaborative efforts that result in sustainable organizational performance improvement.

    The 3-hour Orientation is offered online the third Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3:30 eastern time.   The purpose of the Orientation is to acquaint you with the 10 standards and help you assess your readiness for the certification.  Each of the standards will be explained along with the application process.  You will find out what will  be accepted as evidence of having met the standards. The Orientation is required for certification.  

    The Institute also offers SUSTAIN!™ a development program designed to help you build skills in facilitating sustainable change. You receive coaching on your project during the workshop.  SUSTAIN!™ is not required for certification and is offered live (4-days) and online (8 ½-day sessions).  The fee for SUSTAIN!™ is $2,500 and requires a separate registration.  The fee for the certification is $995.   Contact Deb@tifpi.org for details.

    Practical Analytics & Psychometrics

    The practicum-based workshop is offered as a live 2-day program. Attendees may also join virtually.  It is for the lay person involved in credentialing. This workshop provides skills in using analytics and psychometrics for credentialing and assessments along with guidance on working more effectively with psychometricians and evaluation professionals. 

    Intended audience
    1. Managers and professionals who make decisions related to the application of psychometrics and who engage psychometricians
    2. Professionals who want a better understanding of psychometrics so they can be  better consumers of the services

    Objectives

    Given a mandate to oversee or develop a credential and require psychometric and analytic services, you will learn to:

    • Define and select services that meet your needs
    • Make sampling decisions that support your credentialing mandate
    • Select a defensible method for setting a pass score that best meets your needs
    • Identify the need for policies and procedures to reduce administrative error
    • Judge the validity of an assessment based on assessment data

    • Judge the efficacy of an assessment instrument

    Given you want to create performance-based assessments that:

    • Pre-qualify applicants
    • Assess progress against standards
    • Measure accomplishment of a credential’s standards

    And you have access to the results of a job, task, role, or cognitive analyses; the results of a criticality-analysis; and a description of a credential’s standards, you will learn to:

    • Develop a test blue print or specification.
    • Select an assessment method appropriate to your need.
    • Evaluate multiple-choice and fill-in or short answer test questions and responses to confirm they comply with the standards.
    • Evaluate performance and evidence-centered assessment items to confirm they comply with the standards.
    • Confirm the reading level complies with the Global English aTwo days, 9 am to 4 pm , simultaneously live & online,nd Plain Language Standards.
    • Measure the performance of the assessment.

    The fee includes an electronic copy of the 100+ page Test Development Workbook ($45 value). It describes in detail how to develop multiple-choice, matching, short answer, and fill-in questions and performance checklists.   The workbook is used in graduate courses on evaluation and by organizations that test employees, suppliers, after-market partners, students, and certification candidates.
